When working with vinyl graphics it is best to start with the correct file format. The preferred format being a vector format, Vector files are typically created in software programs such as Adobe Illustrator and Corel Draw which are two programs we work with day in and day out. (Note: Providing non vector files such as jpegs for use to create vinyl graphics can incur additional charges due to the need to recreate the artwork in a vector format.)
If you have a full color project utilizing photographs that are to be printed at a large scale then we will need a raster or bitmap file. Average raster fromats we can work with are TIFF, JPEG and BMP.(Note: When providing these formats, files should be no less than 150PPI resolution)
Different jobs call for different materials. Here at Freeman's Signs, no matter what the job calls for, we make sure we use the highest quality products that meet your needs. Below are some examples of the most commonly used materials. Please see their descriptions as well as a small breakdown of what and how they can be used for different jobs.
As you can see above. There is a great difference between vector and raster. The image to the left is an original vector creation whereas the image to the right is a very low resolution JPEG. Both images are the same size yet one appears more clear than the other. This is because when you scale a vector file( larger or smaller) it will not lose its quality where a JPEG will.

We use only the strongest
banner materials whether
it's for indoor or outdoor
signage. Our finished product is always made with the expectation of harsh conditions.
Described as fluted or corrugated plastic. Coroplast can be used for both indoor and outdoor signage.
Used for the faces of electrical signage. There are many different variations that we can use to accommodate your needs.
A very rigid material that combines a sheet of dense plastic that is laminated on both sides with aluminum. Great for both indoor and outdoor signage and like all of our products, this too wont buckle under weather.
The following is a simple breakdown of what to expect when doing work with Freeman's Signs. When you request signage we will create initial artwork or a layout of how your sign will look by imposing artwork (provided or created in house) on a photo of the location where the signage is to be installed. Once approval has been reached by the client permits will be pulled and we will begin fabrication. Once fabrication is completed and final touches are made we will schedule a time for installation that is most convenient for you and our installers will make sure your sign is where it needs to be when you need it.
Above is an example of a finished layout waiting for customer approval. Each layout includes site dimensions, square footage, measurements and the placement that is representational of a finished product
We use aluminum from .040 to .080 thickness. The .080 is the standard for everyday street signs such as a stop sign. Aluminum is used and varying degrees of our craft but like any other material we use, its of the highest quality.
Or medium density overlay is a marine plywood that comes laminated either with plastic or aluminum. Depending on your project would depict which route to go.
